Give Back to the Consortium

January 2010
Over the past 44 years, The Consortium has grown to include 15 member schools and nearly 6,000 alumni. We need your help to keep growing our network. Getting engaged is easy. There are opportunities across the country and throughout the year to get involved.
Attend Recruiting Events
Recruiting events take place each fall in major cities across the country. Attend an event to share your experiences with prospective applicants by speaking with students one-on-one or by sitting on a panel. Relay how your Consortium membership benefitted you in business school and throughout your career.
Become a Consortium Alumni Regional Representative
Stay connected to The Consortium by becoming a Consortium Alumni Regional Representative (CARR). CARRs in major metropolitan cities across the U.S. help plan alumni events and encourage fellow alumni to get involved as a Consortium volunteer.
Contribute an Article to IN Magazine Online
Share your area of expertise and unique perspective with Consortium students, alumni, Sponsors and Member Schools by writing an article for IN magazine. Submissions on subjects relating to issues in business and diversity are welcome.
Donate to The Consortium
Donating to our Annual Campaign will only strengthen our organization. Your gift can be applied to the General Fund, a Fellowship or to the Wally L. Jones Endowment. You can also donate to your alma mater. Check with your company to see if they will match your gift. Corporate matching gifts greatly increase the impact of your contribution.
Encourage Your Company to Join The Consortium
Consortium Sponsors have access to talented first-year students before they even enter the classroom. Inform your employer of thisand other great benefits your company will receive when they become a Sponsor.
Interview Consortium Applicants
As part of the admissions process, every applicant must complete an interview with either a member school representative or an alumni volunteer. Applicants enjoy meeting with alumni volunteers to learn more about the MBA experience as a Consortium member and for potential career opportunities. Interview appointments are based on the interviewer’s availability.
Refer a Student
Do you know young professionals thinking about getting a MBA? Make sure that the motivated prospective student knows about The Consortium. Offer your guidance on member schools and the application process.
Volunteer at the Orientation Program
Join us June 13 through June 16, 2010 in Orlando, Fla., for the 44th Annual Orientation Program. Volunteer opportunities include assisting at the registration desk, collecting tickets at on- and off-site events, providing directions to participants and supporting The Consortium staff with administrative duties. At the conference, attend workshops specifically targeted to alumni.
